I have been living and doing art in Newberg on Chehalem Mountain for the past 27 years. My love of art started as a child growing up in Maine where I loved to observe and explore nature and the out-of-doors. This love of nature expresses itself in my artwork. Although I paint a variety of subjects, my main focus is on birds, flowers, and scenes from nature based on photographs taken during my travels.

For me, art is a creative process of continually experimenting and taking risks.  I use aqueous media, and sometimes include various materials which I collage onto the surface for texture.  Although most of my work is realistic, I also do abstract paintings.  My work is always evolving, incorporating what I have learned along the way.
